Zum zweiten Mal in Folge erwirtschafteten die 18 Bundesliga-Clubs insgesamt einen Gewinn nach Steuern. Die Einnahmen der Clubs überstiegen die Ausgaben um 114,8 Millionen Euro. Beim EBITDA, also dem Gewinn vor Zinsen, Steuern und Abschreibungen, erreichten hingegen 17 Clubs ein positives Ergebnis. Der Gesamtwert für die Bundesliga lag bei 833,2 Millionen Euro, 22,3 Millionen Euro weniger als in der vorangegangenen Saison – es ist dennoch der dritthöchste Wert in der Bundesliga-Geschichte.
